Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
Welcome to BestPOSApp, a product of Tormuto Technologies, an independent parent tech company. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors and the businesses that rely on our point-of-sale platform. This policy sets out how we treat your personal and business information.
1. Our Role: Data Controller vs. Data Processor
- BestPOSApp as a Data Processor: For the inventory, sales, and customer data entered into the point-of-sale system, the subscribing merchant (Store Owner) acts as the Data Controller. BestPOSApp acts solely as a Data Processor, securely storing and processing this data to provide the platform's operational features to the business.
- BestPOSApp as a Data Controller: We act as a Data Controller for the account, billing, and direct support information of the merchants who sign up to use our platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect certain information or data about you when you use our website and platform. This includes:
- Questions, queries, or feedback you leave, including your IP address and browser version if you send a message via a form on our website or through live chat.
- Account and billing information provided during registration (e.g., business name, email address, physical location).
- Your IP address, details of your web browser, operating system, and the date and time of your visits.
- The website address from which you accessed our platform and your approximate geographical location.
- Google Analytics data, utilizing cookies and page-tagging techniques to monitor how you interact with our website.
Unless you voluntarily submit personal information to us (for example, by creating a store account or completing a contact form), we cannot personally identify you using automatically collected browsing data.
3. How We Use Your Information
The data we collect helps us to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain your BestPOSApp dashboard and offline capabilities.
- Process secure subscription payments based on your selected billing cycle.
- Improve our website and software by monitoring usage patterns.
- Respond properly to any feedback, technical queries, or support requests you send us.
4. Third-Party Service Providers and Integrations
We employ trusted third-party services to facilitate our operations. These third parties only access necessary data to perform specific tasks on our behalf:
- Payment Processing (Flutterwave): We use Flutterwave to securely process subscription payments. Financial data is securely passed directly to Flutterwave and is subject to their Privacy Notice.
- Analytics (Google Analytics): Used to track and report website traffic to help us optimize the platform experience.
- Customer Support (Tawk.to): We utilize Tawk.to as our live chat support widget. Interactions may securely log your IP address and chat transcripts on Tawk.to's encrypted servers.
- Embedded Content (MindViewers): Our platform may include embedded widgets from our sister platform, mindviewers.com/embed, allowing users to view and react to current headlines. Note: Businesses subscribed to the Professional plan have the administrative capability to disable this widget from their dashboard.
5. Data Storage and Security
We store your data on our secure, enterprise-grade cloud servers. Your data can only be viewed by our authorized staff or technical team for maintenance and support purposes.
While we have rigorous procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure once we receive it, transmitting information over the Internet is generally not completely secure. Any data you transmit to us is at your own risk.
We will never share your information with any other organizations for marketing, market research, or commercial purposes, and we do not pass on your details to other websites. We may only pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so, or to enforce our terms of use and other agreements.
